The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the skilled nursing facility is staffed appropriately to provide high-quality care to residents. The Staffing Coordinator works closely with the nursing team to address staffing needs and ensures compliance with all regulatory and facility requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Schedule Management:**
- Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Adjust schedules based on staffing needs, availability, and absences.
- Coordinate with the Director of Nursing to address any staffing shortages or overages.
2. **Staff Coordination:**
- Communicate with nursing staff regarding schedule changes, open shifts, and availability.
- Arrange for coverage in the event of staff call-outs or emergencies.
- Maintain an on-call list for last-minute staffing needs.
3. **Compliance and Record Keeping:**
- Ensure staffing levels meet state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, overtime, and leave.
- Prepare staffing reports and analyze trends to optimize scheduling practices.
4. **Communication and Collaboration:**
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to anticipate and plan for staffing needs.
