JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments.
• Utilize facility contracts to ensure proper collections of monies from insurance carriers.
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology and coding standards, including ICD-10, and CPT coding to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Collaborate with medical staff to resolve billing discrepancies and improve collection efforts.
• Stay updated on compliance regulations to enhance accuracy.
• Able to post monies from patients and insurance carriers.
• Handle patient calls, statements, collections, etc.
• Able to appropriately and accurately appeal claims underpaid to insurance carriers.
