Vice President of Clinical Operations – Nursing Homes (Virginia)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Clinical Operations to lead and oversee the clinical functions across multiple skilled nursing facilities in Virginia. This executive-level role requires a proven leader with multi-facility experience who can drive quality care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The VP of Clinical will supervise and mentor Regional Nurse Consultants, support facilities through mock surveys, and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic clinical leadership across multiple skilled nursing facilities, ensuring high standards of care.
• Supervise and mentor Regional Nurse Consultants, fostering professional development and clinical excellence.
• Oversee and support facilities in regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Conduct and coordinate mock surveys to prepare facilities for state and federal inspections.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance clinical outcomes and resident care.
• Collaborate with administrators, medical directors, and interdisciplinary teams to drive quality improvements.
• Monitor clinical metrics, analyze trends, and implement action plans for performance enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, state laws, and corporate standards.
• Lead training and education programs for nursing leadership and staff.
• Serve as a resource and advocate for best practices in skilled nursing care.
Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (or compact state eligibility).
• 10+ years of clinical leadership experience in skilled nursing, including multi-facility oversight.
• Previous experience supervising Regional Nurse Consultants and leading clinical teams.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, survey processes, and quality assurance in long-term care.
• Proven ability to develop and implement clinical policies and performance improvement strategies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel across Virginia as needed.
