Hiring for a home health LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) in Calabasas CA. with a wonderful home health company that has been in business for 13 years and is growing. The current census is 200. You will provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including tasks like medication administration, wound care, and patient education, while also documenting observations and communicating with the team. Direct Patient Care:
Following the Plan of Care:
LVNs implement the plan of care initiated by the registered nurse, providing direct patient care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
Skilled Nursing Care:
They provide and document skilled nursing care, including skilled observation of the patient's condition, skilled care and procedures, and teaching the patient and/or family.
Medication Administration:
LVNs administer medications and assist with pain management, as per the physician's orders.
Wound Care:
They are often responsible for patient wound care, including cleaning and dressing wounds, monitoring healing progress, and educating patients and families on wound care management.
Assisting with ADLs:
They may assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
Vital Signs:
LVNs monitor patients' health by checking vital signs like blood pressure, body temperature, and other vital signs.
Assessing and Evaluating:
They assess patient needs, create care plans, and perform various medical and non-medical procedures.
