We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as an LVN- Clinical Manager Assistant. The successful candidate will have experience collaborating with physicians, specialists, and other medical professionals. The Clinical Manager Assistant supports the Clinical Manager in ensuring that the clinical department provides consistent, attentive, and efficient care to patients. They assist in monitoring the clinical staff, their activities, and patient care. The Clinical Manager Assistant also makes sure that all clinical activities are following federal, state, and local standards.
The Clinical Manager Assistant is responsible, attentive, knowledgeable, and provides appropriate direct care, under their current nursing license, to patients when staffing needs are necessary.
CLINICAL MANAGER ASSISTANT JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborates with Clinical Manager to coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical personnel.
  • Under the guidance of the Clinical Manager, assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient and family/caregiver care with all clinical personnel as indicated.
  • Contributes to clinician performance evaluations as requested by the Clinical Manager.
  • As authorized by the Clinical Manager/Director, will supervise the maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of reporting of organization activities in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  • In collaboration with appropriate personnel, assists in the maintenance of adequate and appropriate inventory supplies and equipment for the provision of patient care.
  • Contributes to the development and evaluation of the orientation program for new organization personnel and assists in orientation of new organization personnel, either directly or by delegating to another staff member.
  • Promotes in-service and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of organization personnel.
  • Assists with the evaluation of organization performance via performance improvement program, productivity, quarterly and annual reviews. Assures for the quality and safe delivery of home health services provided through the Organization.
  • Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care; shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
  • Promotes home health referrals in the health care community.
  • Under the guidance or delegation of the Clinical Manager, would provide oversight of patient care services and personnel including making patient and personnel assignments; coordinating patient care; coordinating referrals; assuring patient needs are continually assessed and collaborating with the Clinical Manager in the development, implementation, and revises to the individualized plan of care.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/Administrator.
CLINICAL MANAGER ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum qualification LVN license with three years’ experience within the last five years in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, at least one year of which was in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist in the supervision of administrative personnel.
  • Knowledge and expertise in clinical decision-making and Quality Management review and evaluation.
  • Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Organization requirements and is in good working order.
  • Has excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and Joint Commission standards.
  • Good critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and healthcare software.
  • The ability to work under stressful conditions.
