Director of Nursing RN (Assisted Living)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and manage the clinical operations of our Assisted Living community. The DON plays a key role in ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership while fostering a supportive and resident-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.

  • Supervise and support nursing and caregiving staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular assessments and wellness checks to monitor residents' health status.

  • Coordinate care with physicians, outside providers, and family members.

  • Promote infection control practices and a safe, clean environment.

  • Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage clinical documentation and ensure accurate and timely records.

  • Participate in budget planning and staffing decisions related to clinical services.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license in Oregon

  • At least 2โ€“3 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in assisted living, memory care, or a related senior care setting.

  • Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with residents, families, and staff.

  • A passion for working with seniors and enhancing their quality of life.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience as a DON or Wellness Director in an Assisted Living or Memory Care setting.

  • Experience with electronic health records and documentation systems.

  • Successful track record of compliance with surveys and licensing reviews.
