Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians during patient examinations.
Record patient histories, vital signs, and other health information.
Administer injections, perform EKGs, collect blood and lab specimens, and conduct basic laboratory tests.
Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and medical supplies.
Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars for providers.
Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and check patients in/out.
Process medical records and maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems.
Handle billing, coding, and basic office duties as required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
Experience: 1+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
