We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief of Human Resources to join our leadership team in the St. Louis area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the nursing home industry, with expertise in employee relations, compliance, talent development, and workforce planning. This individual will be a strategic partner to the executive team, driving HR initiatives that support organizational growth, regulatory excellence, and a culture of care.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and compliance
Partner with leadership to design and implement strategic HR initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations specific to long-term care
Develop retention and engagement strategies tailored to the nursing home workforce
Provide coaching and guidance to managers and staff at all levels
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (Master’s preferred)
4+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 3 years in the nursing home/long-term care industry
Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
