Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with state, federal, and facility standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Manage staffing schedules to maintain appropriate coverage across all shifts.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Lead survey readiness efforts and maintain compliance with CMS and state regulations.
- Conduct resident assessments and participate in care planning to meet individualized needs.
- Provide staff education and professional development opportunities.
- Manage budgets, resources, and department goals in alignment with facility objectives.
- Serve as a liaison with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in North Carolina.
- Minimum 3โ5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in skilled nursing/long-term care.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations, including CMS guidelines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
