Retail Facilities Manager – Kansas City, MO
  • Responsible for ensuring high‑quality operation of all assigned retail properties.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, grounds, and common areas across assigned retail properties.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance, safety, and code compliance.
  • Select, negotiate, and manage contracts for common area maintenance services.
  • Coordinate and oversee vendor activities for routine maintenance, capital projects, renovations, and construction work.
  • Develop and manage the facilities operating budget, along with capital improvement planning and long‑term asset needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant service requests.
  • Apply working knowledge of NNN leases to identify areas of responsibility.
  • Conduct tenant move-in and move-out procedures per company protocol. 
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety).
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and maintenance teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and compliance documents.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Consistently acts with transparency and accountability
  • Position requires regular vehicle travel between assets, and light travel to out-of-town assets
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • Certifications such as CFM or FMP (preferred)
  • Experience with MS Office and Yardi Systems
