Assistant Property Manager

Assistant Property Manager - Columbia, SC
Assisting day-to-day operations over 2 properties. Leasing, applications and lease administration, resident communication, collections, and support with inspections and maintenance coordination.
  1. Leasing and Tenant Relations:
    • Assist in the leasing process, including responding to inquiries, conducting property tours, and processing lease applications.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  2. Lease Administration:
    • Prepare and review lease agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    • Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, conducting property inspections as needed.
  3. Rent Collection:
    • Oversee rent collection processes, addressing late payments and coordinating with accounting as necessary.
    • Prepare and distribute rent-related communications to residents.
  4. Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the property management team, including filing, data entry, and document management.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records.
  5. Property Inspections:
    • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure adherence to maintenance and safety standards.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams to address identified issues promptly.
  6. Community Engagement:
    • Assist in planning and organizing resident events and community-building activities.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive community environment.
  7. Vendor Coordination:
    • Liaise with vendors and contractors for property-related services, ensuring timely and quality work.
    • Obtain quotes and proposals for property maintenance and improvement projects.
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in multifamily property management, leasing, or a related role.
  • Renovation, lease-up, and stabilization experience highly valuable.
  • Experience with AppFolio preferred
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and other relevant property management laws.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
