About the Role
We are seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to provide strategic, hands-on legal guidance for our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with HR & Contract Law, employment law, landlord–tenant issues, and real estate compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on employee relations, including wage & hour compliance, terminations, internal investigations, and ADA/FMLA issues
- Provide legal guidance on landlord–tenant matters, including evictions, lease disputes, habitability issues, and fair housing compliance
- Manage worker’s compensation claims in coordination with HR and third-party administrators
- Draft and review legal documents, lease agreements, policies, and employment contracts
- Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations impacting the employment space.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice
- 2+ years of legal experience
- Strong working knowledge of HR/employment law, wage & hour statutes, and contract law.
- Exceptional communication and practical problem-solving skills.
